Residential Asbestos Removal in Winnipeg

If asbestos is secure and enclosed in your building, it’s typically considered safe and should be left alone. If you’re considering renovations, demolition or remodelling projects in a building built in the ‘80s or earlier, however, it’s important to bring in the asbestos experts. At Breathe Easy Eco Solutions, we assess the situation, and if necessary, provide abatement. We’re the ones to call for asbestos removal in Winnipeg, Saskatchewan and Northwest Ontario! Since asbestos can be difficult to find, we can test physical materials for asbestos and test the air for asbestos fibres. If we find that you do have asbestos in your property, we will provide guidance for what steps to take next.

Is Asbestos Removal Necessary?

Many old building structures are built with asbestos-containing materials and if disturbed, the asbestos fibres can spread in the air. Only professionals can identify the places that have asbestos through experience, and by using the necessary equipment. Asbestos is classified into friable and non-friable. Friable asbestos allows the fibres to move easily into the air and that creates the most danger to your health (vermiculite, drywall joint compound, stipple and stucco, etc.). Non-friable asbestos has the fibres locked into the material and poses a lesser threat (linoleum, floor tiles, Transite, etc.).

At Breathe Easy Eco Solutions, we always want to ensure that your home or business is safe and free of toxic chemicals that can harm your health. That’s why, when we remove asbestos in your Winnipeg home, we use environmentally sound methods, following approved Federal and Provincial guidelines. Contact Breathe Easy Eco Solutions to get a free asbestos inspection.

How Much Will Asbestos Removal Cost?

As every building is unique, the cost of asbestos abatement in Winnipeg varies based on different factors, including:

  • The type of asbestos
  • The location of where asbestos is found
  • The amount of asbestos in the affected areas

Breathe Easy Eco Solutions provides free asbestos inspection services. What Is an Asbestos Inventory?

An asbestos inventory is a document that provides a detailed account of which construction materials in a building may contain asbestos. It might be required when you are applying for a demolition permit for a building. Breathe Easy Eco Solutions provides asbestos inventory services in Winnipeg. We conduct professional inspections of your building and collect and test samples for the presence of asbestos. The results of these tests are summarized and provided to you through the asbestos inventory. We list every material tested and mention whether or not the material contained asbestos. We also list materials that are not tested, and why they were not required to be tested.

Sunday-Evening Mould Elimination

Thank you for the immediate help with eliminating the mould problem at my property at Kildare Avenue West. My house smells so much better now that it has had a treatment. I had rented out the house and did not want the tenants to move in if there was a mould problem. I appreciate the fact that you came on a Sunday evening to fumigate the house in order for it to be ready and safe for the new renters.

Thank you

Hi Steve,

Once again I had excellent work from one of your crews, excellent work I had done in my asbestos removal in my attic the spring was the reason I chose your group to do the duct cleaning in my home. And Dave and Doug did not disappoint. They were very thorough in their work, I appreciated the explanations. They also went above and beyond as I had to remove a panel for them to access the furnace and they reinstalled that for me. Which was very appreciated. They left everything clean and we’re both very personable. I was very happy with their work and I thought you should know.

Mould in New Home

My family and I just moved to Winnipeg in July. We live in a fairly new area with newer homes, and so I would have never expected to find mould under the carpet in the basement. We discovered the issue after strange yellow mushrooms came through the carpets. Two days later we received the brochure for Eco Solutions and we called immediately. That afternoon one of their agents came over, gave us a quote and set up an appointment for the treatment of our basement. The all around knowledge and skill this man possessed was worth the payment alone. All the things we didn't know about new homes we now do know or at least have a pretty good idea at what to look for. Many thanks to Breathe Easy for their skillful work, vast knowledge and the well-being of my family’s future.

Thank you again!

Smells Like New

When we first moved into our new home there was a "funky" smell in the air that we couldn't figure out. We soon discovered a grayish/blackish mould on one wall in the basement. I was very distressed and didn't know what to do. After finding their flyer in my mailbox, I called Breathe Easy Eco Solutions. To my relief, Patrick came right over and was very thorough and supportive at explaining the mould issues we faced. He also showed us the white mould in the basement that we hadn't seen. I was happy that there was a solution to the problem without using harsh chemicals. The treatment was amazing. We loved the smell of the oils and even our dog liked it. Finally, our home feels like a home. The basement smells like a new basement.

It's amazing. We are so happy.
